“Leaders establish the vision for the future and set the strategy for getting there; they cause change. They motivate and inspire others to go in the right direction and they, along with everyone else, sacrifice to get there.” --- John Kotter
In the Marines, I was taught that there are two types of people in this world. Type #1 Good Leaders and Type #2 Good Followers, but all good leaders had to once start out as good followers. Hence, do not be afraid to work your way up from the bottom! It might be a long road, but once you reach your destination, the rewards are priceless!
Which leads me to the following quote;
“Suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4).”
As they say in the Marines, "Through PAIN and SUFFERING, strives DISCIPLINE!" I will never forget those words. We all must go through some type of pain or suffering in order to achieve the ultimate rewards and abundances of life! Whether it is giving up ten years of your life to become a Doctor, or even working 100 hours a week to retire in your youth. We all must give up something, to achieve the ultimate rewards in life! In business, we call that a TRADE OFF, but in life.... it is just an everyday routine.
Furthermore, one cannot lose true sight of their goals. The path one takes is governed by the vision that he/she believes. We all have times where we are brought to our knees. It is at these times where your faith is tested. The world can be very cruel sometimes, but you just have to keep on trucking! Face your fears on your feet and move on. Vereour Nasquam
