You need to constantly bust your ASS...

In a constant world of changing dynamics, one must understand that the brain is the absolute weapon that controls the mind, the body, and soul.  If your passionate about your craft and your business, the results will follow and continually pay dividends.   As I had the pleasure to listen to media mogul Mr. Steve Stoute, the other day.... I couldn't help but to embrace his words as if they were spoken out of my own mouth.  The world amongst all young entrepreneurs and fellow business leaders is quite lonesome.  That is why through the years, I have personally earned the title of the "Lonely Wolf".

For the fact is, that in my writings I stress the essence of "Self Reliance", and taking on this world "ALONE".  Now the question is...  Can one achieve true balance?   From a mystical and irrational perspective supported by a significant amount of conceptual bias, most will say "YES".....   but in the cruel world of business, war, and games of the mind....the answer is, "NO".     If you desire to be the best in your field, or continually survive the business world of changing dynamics, supported by confounded policies and regulations or even other competitors..... YOU NEED TO CONSTANTLY IMPROVE YOUR MIND, BODY.......and most importantly your BUSINESS!  So stay on top of your game....because if you do not...your COMPETITION AND ENEMIES WILL!!!

I think Steve Stoute says it best....

"There are people and ideas that I have, that inspire me everyday to bust my ass. I bust my ass. We could put up anybody on the work and I'll go hour for hour, I don't care about that, I don't care anything about that, about hours or being tired and not getting sleep. Because you can't say you want something and complain about what it takes to get it! That does not even calculate in my brain. That's a very important thing that people need to read. I don't know how you could ever say you want something but then don't have a way of getting what you want, but keep being fixated on something, but don't have a way, don't have an idea and don't want to put in the time to figure that out. Do yourself an easy favor; don't say you want that thing. It'll make you sleep better at night." - Steve Stoute

Life is a battle...

Whether it is in business, love, or even life. There is no failure except in no longer trying.  As great works are accomplished, not by strength, but by perseverance.  History tells us that almost all great leaders have been pushed to some point of insanity.  This insanity accompanies the ideology that death, and the anxiety we call fear, is no longer an option.  It is at this brink that man realizes the simple fact that it is all or nothing.   In military strategy, while cornered and under heavy attack, there is only one option…..TO FIGHT!

"You might as well stand and fight because if you run,  you will only die tired" - Vern Jocque - Sei Shin Kan.

In a book written in 1960, by Eleanor Roosevelt, titled “You Learn By Living” , she states the following on courage;

The encouraging thing is that every time you meet a situation, though you may think at the time it is an impossibility and you go through the tortures of the damned, once you have met it and lived through it you find that forever after you are freer than you ever were before. If you can live through that you can live through anything. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, `I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' The anger lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it. If you fail anywhere along the line, it will take away your confidence. You must make yourself succeed every time. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

In conclusion, through the days I have the pleasure to speak to several friends, family members, clients, and colleagues whom all face the constant dogma we call stress.  As this anxiety compounds into all of our daily agendas, we must learn to harness its energy and reflect it towards a more productive state.  Furthermore, “In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins-not trough strength but by perseverance.”-Jackson Brown

Sean Combs Explains His Worst Business Move...

Hip Hop mogul, slash Bad Boy Records CEO, Sean Diddy Combs recently talked about what he feels was his biggest business mistake in a sit-down interview with FUSE TV. During the "On The Record" segment, Diddy says he used to overestimate his co-workers. (Source)

"I think one of my biggest business mistakes was not realizing that everybody wasn't like me. Everybody didn't have the drive and determination; everybody's just not built for that. I think that some people need more time, and more nurturing...I mean artists that I've had. I've gotten older, I've become a little bit more nurturing and I've been a little more patient."

Change the situation...

“Because of their courage, their lack of fear, they (creative people) are willing to make silly mistakes. The truly creative person is one who can think crazy; such a person knows full well that many of his great ideas will prove to be worthless. The creative person is flexible; he is able to change as the situation changes, to break habits, to face indecision and changes in conditions without undue stress. He is not threatened by the unexpected as rigid, inflexible people are.” — Frank Goble

The creative person...

“The creative person wants to be a know-it-all. He wants to know about all kinds of things-ancient history, nineteenth century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, hog futures. Because he never knows when these ideas might come together to form a new idea. It may happen six minutes later, or six months, or six years. But he has faith that it will happen.” — Carl Ally

Through the years...

Through the years, I have learned to appreciate the fact that I am different.  Different in the sense of, drive, beliefs, ideologies, philosophies, etc.   Through discipline, pain, and suffering, I have trained my mind to fight for what I believe in.  There are times when the masses are running with the herd, and that’s where my training and courage kicks in to high gear.  I too have doubts some times....

Luckily, and with God’s help, I have had the pleasure to conquer several achievements.  Sometimes, I am too busy fighting life’s War, that I forget about all the small battles that I have fought and won.  Thankfully, I am blessed to say that I have good friends to remind me of those conquests.  To those select few, THANK YOU!
